THIS GIRL IS INCREDIBLE.

I've been listening to her for a while now and now she's hit the big time I have to share her with the world.

Her recent success as #1 on the US Billboard Charts is phenomenal and despite me being an Australian who has the tendency to claim successful Kiwis (e.g. Russell Crowe, Tim and Neil Finn) I believe she belongs to the world.

Her debut album dropped about 3 weeks ago and it's a MUST.

For people who love Haim, MS MR, Chvrches and just damn good girl power groups.

MARGOT TENENBAUM

Style crush: Margot Tenenbaum

Gwyneth Paltrow in Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums was the epitome of luxe and beauty. Her fur coat, cigarettes, blonde crisp hair cut with a red clip and heavy eyeliner create her as the picturesque sister to fall in love with. (as Richie Tenenbaum does)

I will admit, I'm not a huge fan of Gwyn but now after watching this film my opinion has greatly changed within this film as her aloof and depressive state of mind is oh so intriguing. She is also perfectly matched to the almost perfect soundtrack.

FIRST POST

Well this is my first post and I'm quite nervous. 

I envision this blog to be music, movies and fashion blog but I don't want it to be one of those typical "another girl with a blog" blogs. I want to source music and film as inspiration for fashion icons whom I will profile throughout the duration of this blogs running. 

I'm not sure what I am doing really. I have my final exams next week and I don't really see this as helping me in any way but I guess its a place for me to vent out all of the thoughts and creativity which I've been repressing for quite a while now since I've been "studying" so hard.
